The processing of personal data by Safe Deposit Bank of Norway AS (“SDBN”) is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the Personal Data Protection Act in Norway (the “Act”) and the applicable Norwegian laws and regulations, such as the Anti-Money Laundering Act chapter 6.

Privacy is highly valued by SDBN and we are committed to ensure the protection of your privacy. SDBN believes in the importance, both from a legal aspect and the aspect of sound business practice, of you fully understanding our care when handling your personal information. SDBN is a data controller, which means we are responsible for the manner in which your personal data through your browsing is handled. This privacy protection statement contains information you are entitled to receive when data about you is collected and general information about what data is collected and how the Bank processes personal data.

SDBN collects the following data through sdbn.com

  • Provided that you fill out and submit the contact form, your; full name, company name, Email address, role and enquiry

Purpose of processing

The Bank must have legitimate grounds for processing personal data.

“Contact us” form

The purpose of the contact form is to allow you to contact SDBN. The contact form only collects the information you provide in the form, such as your full name, company name, Email address, role and your enquiry.

SDBN must process the personal data provided in the contact form to respond to your enquiry.

How we share information

SDBN does not share personal data with non-affiliated third parties other than as permitted or required by law.

If a third party processes personal data on behalf of SDBN, the third party/service provider will be known as a data processor. SDBN uses data processors to gather, store or otherwise process personal data on behalf of SDBN. In such cases, SDBN enters into data processing agreements with the third party/service provider to ensure that such processing meets the privacy protection regulation requirements and SDBN’s requirements for processing of personal data.

All transfers of personal data from SDBN to a third party/service provider are conditional on a data processor agreement between SDBN and the service provider. This applies irrespective of whether SDBN uses data processors in Norway or another country in the EU or EEA. If SDBN transfers personal data to countries outside the EU or EEA, e.g., providers of IT services or other data processors, then such transfers are only permitted when the data processor has issued the required guarantees and on the condition that you are guaranteed enforceable and effective rights.

The right to data portabilitySDBN allows you to obtain and reuse your personal data for your own purposes across services in a safe and secure way without this effecting the usability of your data. This right only applies to personal data that you have provided to us as the Data Controller. The data must be held by us by consent or for the performance of a contract.
The right to objectYou have the right to object to SDBN processing your personal data even if it is based on our legitimate interests, the exercise of official authority, direct marketing (including data aggregation), and processing for the purposeless of statistics.

SDBN and privacy policy

SDBN will continue to monitor the effectiveness of this privacy policy. We may change the privacy policy if in the event of changes in laws and regulations for processing of personal data, changes to our services or other changes that affect the content of this privacy policy.
